The Dubai Project
Dubai Metals and Commodities Centre (DMCC) is a strategic initiative of the Dubai
Government created to establish a commodity market place in Dubai. It provides
industry-specific market infrastructure and a full range of facilities for the gold and
precious metals, diamonds and coloured stones and commodity industries.
DMCC is also a free zone authority offering 100% business ownership, a guaranteed
50 year tax holiday and freehold property options.
As part of its ongoing strategy to create industry-specific market infrastructure, DMCC
launched a diamond exchange for Dubai; The Dubai Diamond Exchange. This is the
first diamond bourse within the region, which will serve to broaden the flow of trade
beyond the Middle East. Facilitating the trade of rough and polished diamonds, Dubai
is set to join leading international diamond centres, including Antwerp, New York and
Mumbai.
The Dubai Diamond Exchange, which is a part of the DMCC, became a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses in October 2004 and is based at Almas Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, UAE |
